Orkin is constantly innovating pest control technology and practices, so much so their tagline is “Pest Control Down to a Science.” So when Orkin was looking to redesign their website to help showcase this innovative culture they turned to Think Agency of Atlanta to bring life to their site. (Not bugs)
Think started the process by identifying what was working with the site and what needed to be optimized, but there was a bit of catch with regards to the site launch. The new site would launch just before the start of Orkin’s busiest time of year so optimizations to SEO for the site would need to be handled carefully.
Think optimized the user experience by focusing on a show don’t tell approach that worked to bring a perfect balance of imagery and copy that focused on highlighting the innovation Orkin brings, giving customers a glimpse into what working with Orkin is like, and providing thought leadership to help user identify potential bug problems before there is a problem.
The results were killer! Total site traffic increased 18% and time on-site was up 20%. Even better was the direct engagement, 20% of the visitors called directly from the clickable number, which was a 65% increase from the previous month.
